Raising the Standard for Commercial Cleaning Education

CloroxPro HealthyClean® is a new online learning platform that delivers best-in-class education and training. HealthyClean offers the ONLY industry-wide certificate course designed for the commercial cleaning industry to be accredited by the American National Standards Institute National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to help ensure cleaning professionals get the knowledge and skills they need to clean for health effectively, efficiently and safely.

Commercial Cleaners Face New Demands

Today there is a much greater awareness of the critical role that commercial cleaners play in preventing the spread of illnesses causing germs in shared and public spaces. In a recent survey of facility managers and buildings service contractors (BSC’s), 91% say the staff at their company or facility have had to learn new cleaning and disinfecting protocols and 96% say that janitorial staff are asked to do more now to help provide greater confidence to occupants and visitors. But training programs have not kept up with the needs of the industry.

To help protect public health, cleaning for appearance’s sake only is no longer enough. Cleaning for health is required. However, many cleaning professionals are unsure what this means they should do differently and how to do this efficiently and safely. This shift in the industry puts a great deal of pressure on managers to constantly train and retrain staff — and the costs can be quite high with varying degrees of success.

CloroxPro is here to help! We are committed to helping the industry learn how to clean for health — not just during a pandemic — but every day to help ensure shared spaces are clean, safe spaces for people to gather, learn and work.

Not All Certificate Programs Are Created Equal

The CloroxPro HealthyClean® Trained Specialist Course is the ONLY industry-wide certificate program designed for frontline cleaners and managers to earn accreditation by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), setting a new standard for educational excellence in the industry. ANAB is an independent third-party accreditation body that evaluates training certificate programs against ASTM E2659-18, a globally recognized certificate standard for quality program development and training comprehension.

In order to receive an ANAB accreditation, a certificate program must meet rigorous standards set for design, delivery, monitoring and outcomes. This 3rd party accreditation provides confidence that the HealthyClean Trained Specialist certificate holder has completed a high quality course of study and achieved the robust learning objectives, having passed a final evaluation with a score of 85% or higher.
