Here’s How Counties’ Rescue Vehicles, Responders Are Protected Against COVID-19 Contamination

As the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise throughout the state, Treasure Coast first responders are changing how they clean their patrol and rescue vehicles. Martin County Fire Rescue Bureau Chief Doug Killane said the agency sprayed down ambulances and fire trucks after all medical calls with Clorox Total 360, but now use Oxivir spray, used to kill viruses and bacteria in the healthcare environment.
